At Shakyamuni's Feet

This beautiful Buddha is Shakyamuni, who is said to have appeared 2500 years ago to teach what is now known, as Buddhism. This 3 storey high Buddha is located in Namgyal Tsemo Gompa and is truly spectacular. I apologise for the poor lighting but we weren't allowed to use flash, as it can damage the gompa. Never the less, I quite liked the angle and lighting of this shot.
